Fall is a time of new beginnings. The weather changes, the sun sets earlier and the leaves start to change color and fall to the ground. At Sutter County Superintendent of Schools, we have a new group of students that have begun their educational year anew. We currently have 57 students in our Medical Assistant Program at Sutter County Career Training Center. In our adult education programs, we currently have 149 students taking ESL classes; 133 students taking high school diploma classes, 58 taking GED classes and 169 enrolled in CTE classes. We have a variety of CTE classes for high school students; Culinary Arts and Dental Assisting as well as others. We currently have approximately 300 students enrolled in these classes.
As a strong advocate for students of all ages, I am delighted that our programs are impacting our students' lives as well as our community. Educating our young people and adults within our community gives them an opportunity to be a productive member of society and serve in a career of their choice. In the near future, we will be expanding our programs to serve more students. Stay tuned!
Sincerely,
Superintendent Tom Reusser
