All summer long, the Sheriff's Department will be working hard to keep you and your loved ones safe.
In this month's newsletter, you'll watch a video on the grand opening of the new Lakeside Sheriff's Substation. It's another great resource to help keep East County safe.
In honor of National Safety Month, we are hosting several Coffee With The Community across San Diego County.
It's an opportunity for you to meet our deputies and other Sheriff's staff who want to work with you to prevent crime and keep you safe.

| Lakeside Sheriff's Substation Now Open
|
| The Lakeside Sheriff's Substation in East County is now open. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on May 26th and the public was given a tour of the new facility. Among those in attendance included Sheriff Bill Gore, Supervisor Dianne Jacob, as well as local law enforcement and county leaders. This new substation replaces a storefront located at a strip mall on Winter Gardens Boulevard which is now closed. To see photos from the event, follow us on  . The Lakeside Sheriff's Substation will be serving more than 80,000 people in Lakeside and unincorporated area within El Cajon. It is located at 12365 Parkside Street in Lakeside. | Every month, the Sheriff's Department works with the San Diego Regional Fugitive Task Force (FTF) and Crime Stoppers to find and arrest people wanted for committing crimes.
Be on the lookout for 26-year-old Corbin Blake Jackson. He is wanted for possessing and selling drugs. Jackson has a history of drug and domestic violence offenses.
Jackson is known to frequent the North County, including the City of Vista.
Anyone with information on Corbin Blake Jackson's whereabouts is urged to call the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at (888) 580-8477 . You could be eligible for up to a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.

| The San Diego County Sheriff's Department is reminding teens and parents to be safe, smart and responsible this prom and graduation season. It is illegal to provide and host underage drinking parties in San Diego County. You will be arrested and booked in jail. A Social Host is anyone who knowingly hosts underage drinking parties on property they own, lease or otherwise control. The Social Host ordinance assigns responsibility to those who knew or should have known an underage drinking party was occurring on their property. Violators face up to a $1,000 fine and up to six months in jail or both. You can also be billed for law enforcement services and held liable for injuries sustained by third parties. You can report underage drinking parties to the Sheriff's Department 24 hours per day. Call our non-emergency line at (858) 565-5200. Teens who learn about a party on social media can also call the Crime Stoppers Students Speaking Out Tip Line at (888) 580-8477. Remember, the legal drinking age in California is 21. Know your responsibility as a Social Host. Don't be a party to underage drinking. It is against the law. | Naloxone

| Sheriff's Deputies are often first on scene of an emergency. When someone is not breathing and suffering from a drug overdose, every second counts. ALL deputies now carry Naloxone, the generic form of the drug commonly known as Narcan. It is a nasal spray that can be given to victims of an opiate (commonly abused pain medication) overdose in order to help save their lives. Naloxone does not produce a high. The Sheriff's Department is the first law enforcement agency in California to use Naloxone on the streets. Deputies patrolling Santee, Lakeside and unincorporated areas of El Cajon tested Naloxone for six months starting in July 2014 before it was implemented throughout the Sheriff's jurisdiction in May of this year. During the pilot program, deputies used Naloxone to rescue eleven people overdosing on pain meds. Substance abuse help is always available to anyone who is struggling or is worried about a friend of loved one. Counselors are also always available through the County's Crisis Hotline 24 hours per day at (888) 724-7240.

Where Is Beverly Jean Ribley?
The Sheriff's Homicide Detail wants your help in locating a missing woman who hasn't been seen in more than 40 years. Beverly Jean Ribley disappeared under mysterious circumstances in April 1975. She was last seen at her home in the 2400 block of Trace Road in Spring Valley.
At the time of her disappearance, Beverly was 29 years-old, stood 5'1" tall and weighed 100 pounds. She had long brown hair and green eyes.

Summer is almost here. That means kids of all ages jumping into swimming pools to beat the heat. Simon the Safety Bloodhound wants you to follow some rules the next time you go take a dip. Holiday Closures
 San Diego County Sheriff's Department Stations, Substations and Headquarters will be closed for the following federal holiday:
Friday, July 3
In observance of
Independence Day
(which falls on Saturday, July 4)
All detention facilities will remain open. The closure to the public of business offices will not impact deputies in the field or employees scheduled for on-call.
