A Message from Pastor Jonathan
|

Dear Sanlando Family,
Rev. Dr. Bob Bushong will preside at our Sanlando UMC Annual Charge Conference on Sunday, November 1 at 4:00pm via Zoom.
In previous years, we have held a Church Conference, where any church member may vote. However, due to the nature of the online format, this will be a Charge Conference, per the Annual Conference directive.
Here are the main differences between our usual Church Conference and the Charge Conference that we are having:
- This is a Charge Conference which everyone is invited to attend.
- Charge Conference means voting members include only those defined by Book of Discipline P246.2, that is, all members of the Leadership Council, together with retired ordained ministers and retired diaconal ministers who elect to hold their membership in our Charge Conference.
- Everyone must register in advance via the following link.
- We are requesting that you register no later than Wednesday, October 28, 2020 by 5:00pm in order to receive your packet prior to the meeting.
|
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the Zoom meeting.
|
- At this conference, we will be approving the Lay Leadership (Nominations) for 2021, the Pastor's compensation package for 2021, and one Lay Servant recertification. We have elected not to submit first or second year lists of member's names for removal this year, since in-person worship attendance has been so limited in 2020.
- The Charge Conference packet of voting items will be emailed to those that have registered for the conference on October 29th. If you will not be registering for the conference, but would like to receive the packet, please email judy.wright@sanlando.org or call ext. 110 to request one be emailed or mailed to you.
- Voting members must have their camera on during the Zoom conference so that we can see their faces.
We encourage everyone to please follow the link to register for the Sanlando Charge Conference, November 1, 2020 at 4:00pm via ZOOM. Please contact the church office if you have any questions about the registration process. If you have any concerns unrelated to the registration process, please contact me directly at jonathan.tarman@sanlando.org or at ext. 101.
Let's Zoom!

Children's Ministries is looking for Volunteers to teach Sunday School and/or Children's Church on Sunday's!
- The role of our volunteer teachers are to keep our children safe and teach them about God and the Bible!
- Our weekly lessons are all prepared the week prior to each Sunday for our volunteer teachers.
- Each lesson has an opening activity, a bible story to talk through and read and there is fun music and games to do as well! (click on the following links for a brief overview of how each lesson is laid out!) Elementary and Preschool
