Greetings from Phil!
Hello Market Friends!

With summer moving at the speed of light, the market has enjoyed record summer attendance.
A combination of quality vendors, board input, volunteers and a marketing campaign that no doubt places the Sarasota Farmers Market as one of the top markets in the State. The 4th of July weekend Shrimp & Lobster Fest proved to be a good indicator that people are interested in a healthy family-oriented market year 'round. Special thanks to Mayor Suzanne Atwell who spent most of her day at the S&L festival.

The Shrimp and Lobster Fest turned out to be one of the markets highlights of the year. After the early morning rain, customers arrived in droves to not only to enjoy the regular market but mingle with the one day sponsors. Combined marketing with quality vendors and sponsors, it proved that the market has truly become a year 'round Saturday tradition. The market was honored to help our non profit for the event the GAP school in their continued quest to help kids with special needs.

The lucky winner of the Kayak was Susan Matteoli of Sarasota, a regular customer at the market. Thanks to Economy Tackle ( www.floridakayak.com ) for their generous donation to the GAP school raffle. |
