January 2020 Newsletter
... and the Winner is
 Ellie's Fine Resale
Twelve businesses and organizations sponsored Christmas Trees for the first ever Shelton House Tinsel Trail. All the trees were beautiful and showed great creativity but, only one could take home bragging rights as the
"2019 Tinsel Trail Favorite Tree".
Visitors to the Trail were asked to participate by voting for the business or organization that had decorated their favorite tree and Ellie's Fine Resale took top prize.
Congratulations to Ellie's!
Special Thanks
to all our Tinsel Trail Sponsors for helping to preserve and protect the Historic Shelton House and The Museum of NC Handicrafts!

Pamela Reece is a whirlwind of fashion and style and has more energy and drive than the offensive line of a Pro-Football Team.
As a Volunteer member of the Shelton House Board of Directors and Chair of the Fundraising Committee, Pamela is always looking for ways to raise money for the support of Shelton House. This year, she came up with the idea for the Shelton House Tinsel Trail (admittedly borrowed from a similar event held in Alabama.) From the minute the museum closed on October 31, Pamela and her team got to work decorating and setting up for the Tinsel Trail! Now, that the 2019 Trail has come to a close she will begin working on our next BIG event...The 2020 Blue Ridge Heritage Weekend... a two day Craft Show that will be held June 20th and 21st on the grounds of the Shelton House Campus. In her spare time, Pamela creates her own jewelry so you might see some of her pieces in our Gift Shop this year!
The Shelton House is currently looking for new members to join our working Board of Directors. If interested call (828)452-1551 or visit our website at!
