Praying for You

Along with our retired Sisters, Sister Mildred Boeh prays for our many friends and benefactors at Mass every morning.
At age 97, Sister Mildred continues to volunteer in the Development Office, where she receives great joy in writing notes of gratitude and comfort to our dear neighbors.
This past Memorial Day, our Sisters prayed for peace and the safe return of men and women serving in the military. Click here to also pray for them.

Prayer for the
Summer Solstice
Thank you, God,
for Summer.
Thank you for light and warmth.
Thank you for the sun.
Thank you for the gifts of nature
and for the annual cycles and seasons.
Today, give us that grace again,
to see you as the Creator,
the One who lifts us up to be with you
forever, even now. Amen.

Surprise, Sister Margery - and thank you!

On the Feast of the Visitation, students at St. Benedict the Moor School surprised their principal, Sister Margery Kundar, with a "thank-you" presentation for her 32 years of service at the school.
In an opening prayer, Sister Jean Uzupis, assistant principal, said:
Mary and Elizabeth said 'yes' to God and used their responses to bring salvation to the world. Over 30 years ago, Sister Margery said 'yes' to God's call to come to St. Benedict the Moor.
She allowed God to work through her and because of that many children have had an opportunity to learn and grow and come to know fully God's love for them. |

'Thank You' from the Development Office
The Sisters of St. Joseph Auxiliary Board and Spring Luncheon Committee hosted a fabulous fundraiser at the Sheraton Station Square on May 14.
Through their efforts and generosity, and in conjunction with a raffle, they were able to raise $39,000.00 to benefit the Sisters and their ministries. Click on Photo Gallery to view photos from the event.
We are in the early stages of planning for next year's 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Auxiliary Spring Luncheon. We are working on a date and venue, and will share that with you soon. We can tell you that the 50th event promises to be a memorable occasion.
Please email Sister Karen Stoila at kstoila@stjoseph-baden.org to request information for next year if you did not receive a notice in the mail for this past year. |

Sister Rose Marie Vogel reminds us that June is the month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and her prayer is that God will bless us with more women with "hearts" for love.
