Local Companies Take the Lead in Environmental Responsibility |
E
very business, municipality and school corporation in Northwest Indiana plays a part in the
tremendous use of natural resources, and each has the potential to decrease the environmental impact and dependence on products that can have a negative effect on the planet in ways both large and small.
Green practices continue to grow in all facets of our lives, and citizens are looking to the business world for examples of how to be mindful of what we will be leaving for future generations. In Northwest Indiana, steps are continually being taken to find solutions and preventative measures so we can be proactive when it comes to being environmentally co
nscious.
NWI Business Quarterly featured our own Carl Lisek in a story last month on local companies taking the lead in environmental responsibility. The story included details on South Shore Clean Cities member Fair Oaks Farms efforts as well.

Green Summers are the All-American Choice |
As summer begins, it's natural for Americans to feel a sense of wanderlust.
Our nation has a nostalgic love affair with summer and the adventures it brings. The season evokes all-American visions of baseball, hot dogs and apple pie. It's when we pile into our vehicles for family road trips, some of which take us across the country and others just down the road.
Wherever your summer adventures take you, if you truly want to have an all-American summer, you need to think hard about how you will get there and how it will impact the environment.
