Join South Shore Clean Cities on Friday, September 16th from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm at the Northwestern Indiana Regional Planning Commission (NIRPC) as they celebrate the widespread availability and benefits of all-electric and plug-in hybrid-electric vehicles around Northern Indiana. 

Many electric vehicle owners and local electric vehicle dealers will be on site to answer questions and share with attendees their knowledge and experiences related to owning an electric vehicle. The event will also feature Ride & Drives where attendees will have the chance to drive various types of electric vehicles such as the BMW i3, BMW i8, Nissan Leaf, THINK City vehicle and more.

The 2016 National Clean Cities Coordinator Training Workshop was held this year at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) in Oak Ridge, TN. The workshop provided training for coordinators to enable them to manage successful coalitions, and is also an opportunity to share expertise, success stories, and lessons learned. 

Awards were presented to coalitions around the United States by the U.S. Department of Energy.  This year, South Shore Clean Cities came home with two award: CLIMATE PROTECTION - MOST IMPROVED, and MOST DIVERSE IMPROVEMENT. South Shore Clean Cities would like to thank our members and stakeholders for helping us achieve these goals! 

You're invited to join South Shore Clean Cities at the Green Fleet Educational Workshop on Driving Efficiency for Over the Road Trucks.

 

During this workshop, you will hear from truck users on the technologies they have implemented on their vehicles and how you can take advantage of idle reduction and fuel efficient savings. There is no charge to participate, and all are welcome to attend. Lunch will be provided.
