World Honey Bee Day is celebrated every third Saturday in August (but we are celebrating it here at St. Anne's this Sunday, August 16!). It is a holiday that reminds us of the beauty and value of bees.
If you haven't already done so, please fill out this form to reserve your honey.
The honey is bottled in 4-5 oz used, spice jars that have been donated over the past year and cleaned and sanitized. We request a $5+ donation per jar which goes directly to St. Anne's. Payment (your donation) is collected at the time you pick up your jar of honey.
If you will not be at St. Anne's this Sunday (August 16) to pick up and pay for your honey, please send an email to Eileen to let her know.

CPR/AED Training
Saturday, September 19, 10:00-12:00, Library
St. Anne's is offering CPR/AED training for members of our congregation on Saturday, Sept 19, from 10 AM to 12 PM. We still have a few spots available for anyone interested in signing up.
This is a good course for lay/volunteer adults that will include didactic plus practice on mannikins and AEDs.
It is NOT a certification course required by certain professions. Those courses require online instruction & testing in addition to the practice component, usually offered through the American Heart Assn and Red Cross.
The cost per participant is $35, due at the class. The instructor’s name is Mary Beth Pratt, an RN and owner of Mission4life CPR LLC. She comes highly recommended by the staff at the Fairfax County Health Department.
Please email Angie if you are interested in participating.

Vote Faithfully Series
Thursdays, Sept. 3, Oct. 1, Nov. 5; 1:30-2:00 PM
On the first Thursday of each month from June through November, The Episcopal Church's Public Policy and Witness team is hosting a series of “Vote Faithfully” calls to support voter engagement in ways consistent with Episcopal values.
During the calls, hosts will share resources and ideas to help congregations promote voting and civic participation while remaining nonpartisan (avoiding support for specific political parties, candidates, or platforms).
Today's call focused on important voter registration and election deadlines and how to make a congregational communications plan.
Registration and additional information can be found here.
Any questions, reach out to Susan Schreiner.

Public Witness Weekly Prayers
The Episcopal Public Policy Network is a grassroots advocacy program of The Episcopal Church Office of Government Relations. It works to educate, equip and engage church members on national issues in line with our values.
Join us each week as we share new prayers for the vulnerable among us facing challenges, fears, and threats. We will name many of the harms unfolding and acknowledge what is being erased, lost, and threatened.
These prayers are not a replacement for action; they are meant to offer space for grounding and discernment as we seek to bear one another’s burdens in the love and way of Christ.
