A special moment during the Easter Vigil-
We Celebrated the Baptism of
Jacob Allen Adams, grandson and godson of Marty and Alan Hamblen

Get well, Claudia!

Our rector is having a quiet Easter Season, recovering from back surgery and regaining her strength.

Although she is not receiving guests and phone calls at this time, she enjoys mail and email during her waking hours.

All will be well!

And, yes,  Claudia, you are missed by each and everyone of us!

Many thanks to...

The  Rev. Elaine Hewes who preached and served on Palm Sunday. Her sermon has been posted to the church website and is available now.

The Rev. Emily Blair Stripling
who officiated and preached at St. Francis' Maundy Thursday Service.

The Rev. Steve Hayward
for his service to St. Francis and sermons on Easter Sunday and on the Second Sunday of Easter.

We had such nice visitors on Easter morning-many of whom came to the altar with "Chocolate Easter Egg" breath!

A Request from Ray Yardy

WindowDressers in Blue Hill (an Equal Opportunity Employer) is looking for someone to help measure windows.

The successful applicant would be working with Senior Warden, Bob Publicover,  as he has the computer experience needed from working on measuring windows for the past 3 years.  The time commitment will be very limited as we only ask each team to measure approx. 10 homes and it only takes 1 - 1 1/2   hrs per home.  So one would really only need to commit to a few days of work spread out over a few weeks.

One would work on a schedule negotiated between yourself, Bob and the home owners.  Full training on the use of Laser Rule will be provided.  Compensation and benefits are excellent (a great feeling of satisfaction at helping others).

E-mail or phone applications to Ray Yardy  or 664-4104.

New programs are up and running at St. Francis and The Congregational Church

An update from Sarah:
The support group has met at the Congo Church and there were 12 including the co-facilitators. This group meets once a month, the second Tuesday of each month.
The Family to Family meets once a week until June 21st at St Francis and we had 14 including the facilitators, so that's all very exciting!.
It's a beginning. The stories are difficult if not heart rending but at least people know they are not alone.
*If you would like more information or know someone who would benefit from either program, call Sarah Everdell (359-8562)
