Bob and Maurine Tobin have received a new shipment of Palestinian Olive Oil. It will be available as of this coming Sunday @ $20/bottle
(and worth every penny of it!)
The sale of olive oil goes toward  desperately needed financial support for Ahli Anglican Hospital in Gaza, which is challenged by an overflow of new patients and ongoing shortages of medication and electricity.

Prayer List:  Just a reminder that the prayer list is located in the church office. Those on the list will remain for three weeks unless otherwise noted. Thank you.

COFFEE HOUR-  The 2018 signup sheet is posted on the door to the kitchen. Please add your name or have someone sign up with you, to prepare coffee and a simple fare for this important ministry of fellowship.  (located next to the Altar Flowers sheet).
Altar flowers Reminder: The 2018 signup sheet is posted on the door to the kitchen for you to add your name for donations of flowers for the altar in memory of someone, in thanksgiving, or to just enjoy the beauty of the arrangements from the Flower Guild.  A suggested donation of $50 would be greatly appreciated.

You are invited...  (without  making reservations) to enjoy a delicious Mothers Day Brunch this Sunday, following the 10 AM service.

This is an important fundraiser for our St. Francis children who want to have a week at Camp Bishopswood.

Registration is coming right up in June and the total cost is $1749 for all four children.

If you would like to help fund the children's camp experience and cannot attend the brunch, please check in with Barbara in the church office. Donations will be gratefully accepted.

Many thanks to Sue Grindle and Nancy Doane and members of the Outreach Committee who are making sure this  delicious brunch will be a good time for everyone!

St. Francis Fair
Saturday, August 11

From Fair Chair, Mary Hartley
Did you know??
Kevin Hunt is working with Mary as co-chair of the fair!

"It is time to be looking for those wonderful items to donate to the Fair:

Junque, priceless (or not) jewels, heirlooms (or not), tools, books, good toys, gardening must-haves. "

Questions?  Call Mary or Kevin

A Note for our "away" parishioners who have not yet returned to St. Frances...

Our rector attended the 10 am service last Sunday, much to the delight and applause of everyone!

Claudia may not be 150% yet, but she was with us for the service.

Claudia is on medical leave and we must all respect her continued absence from our church life. Still...she was a sight for sore eyes!

Many thanks to the Rev. Emily Blair Stribling who preached and celebrated last Sunday and The Rev. Steve Hayward the Sunday before. We are blessed to have such wonderful clergy in our area.
And another word about
       Mothers Day

...which has been appropriately called

"Celebration of the Strength of Women" Day

"A woman is like a tea bag-you never know how strong she is until she gets in hot water."
---Eleanor Roosevelt
Now that St. Francis has stocked the shelves with dental items at TOL, it is time to move on to other essential items not covered by SNAP:  hair products.  Items needed include shampoo, conditioner, barrettes, combs, brushes....anything to do with hair.  The dental items were (and continue to be) very much are the diapers which we shall continue to collect. On behalf of the Outreach committee, thank you so very much for your generosity.
