Learning and Growing in Christ Together: Adult Education Explores Practices of Wellness and Mindfulness for the Christian

After a year of pandemic, increased stress, and two of the “Lentiest Lents” ever, Easter season invites us to be renewed and re-center ourselves with practices that benefit us in heart, soul, mind, and body. We will explore several practices that lead to health, wholeness, and a sense of well being from a Christian perspective. Our companion book is The Mindful Christian by Dr. Irene Kraegel.
Covid Update

As you may be aware, the parish Task Force is planning our return to indoor worship. As part of the planning process, we took a straw poll at Sunday’s services. The congregations were asked the question, ‘would you prefer to move back inside the church “sooner” or “later?”

The 8 am congregation were split almost 50/50 and the 9am congregation showed a slight preference for returning “sooner”. It was very helpful to have this feedback. It is clear that there is no overwhelming groundswell to get back into church asap. And there is no need to rush, we have a great space in which to worship outside and we have fallen into a comfortable pattern. So, I feel that we are right to proceed cautiously, and aim to be back in church sometime in the early summer. I will continue to keep you informed and please feel free to let me know your thoughts. "Our Coronacoaster Journey"

Drawing parallels between the emotions we experience in the current pandemic and the roller coaster of emotions Jesus' disciples experienced after the resurrection, the Rev'd Mark Hargreaves takes us on a journey down the road to Emmaus where fear will turn to joy and celebration. How does their
experience inform your spiritual journey?
