Weekly Noon Eucharist - TODAY

The Monthly Requiem Eucharist is the 4th Wednesday of every month. For August, that will be the 24th.
"Pulling Out All the Stops"
The train has nearly reached the station, but there is still time to get on board!
A hearty THANK YOU to all of our St. James Community that have already so generously been a part of the fundraising campaign for our new Organ Project. But we are not quite there yet, and there is still time to play a part in this once in a lifetime activity in life of St. James. No donation (or pipe or rank) is too big or too small. Click HERE to make a donation now.
Celebrations of Giving (or PIMM'S PARTIES) Return
August 7th & 11th, and September 3rd - All at 5 pm

Once again we are returning to having our annual "Celebrations of Giving" or Pimm's Parties at the Rectory. All who have participated in the financial life of the church should have received an invitation in the mail. The festivities will all be taking place outdoors in the rectory's beautiful garden. Please RSVP to by selecting one of the dates above and saying how many will be in your party. THANK YOU!
Ministry Opportunity: Welcome TEAM reforming!

We will be re-launching the “Welcome Team” ministry this fall and we’re looking for volunteers to serve at the Welcome Table once a month before and after the 10:00am worship service. This ministry provides hospitality, information, and a warm welcome to all our newcomers here at St. James. Team members greet newcomers, answer questions, collect information, give visitors a newcomer gift and assist Mo. Rebecca to support welcome events during the year. If you think this may be your calling and ministry at St. James, please let Mo. Rebecca know!

MOMS Backpack Drive
July 31 - August 14
Military Outreach Ministries (M.O.M.) is holding its annual backpack drive again this year. They have returned to asking for actual back packs, which can be dropped off at Sunday services. Our hope is to reach a goal of providing 125 backpacks to children in need.

Checks or Gift Cards (Target/Costco/Wal-Mart) for $20 per backpack can be sent to the church office or given at a Sunday service. Please make checks payable to St. James by-the-Sea with “MOMS Backpacks” in the memo line. Donations are being accepted through August 14th. Thank you.
90th Annual White Elephant Sale
"The best things in life aren't things"
The best things in life are people, experiences, and helping… So plan to be part of the 90th White Elephant Sale August 26th & 27th!

Meanwhile, clear out “things” from your home that are good quality treasures, new or gently used, and in good condition…
  • Donations can be dropped off Sun Aug 14-Fri Aug 19 from 10am 12pm at the church hall.

We need volunteers for a few hours or entire days - to help out, have fun and make a difference:

  • For the White Elephant Sale: Sat August 27
  • A Sign-Up Genius will be sent out 8/1 and volunteer sign-up sheets will be available after both services. Additional volunteer sign-up details to follow.
