Creating opportunities for faith in God to be discovered, renewed, and put into action

Season of Lent

Art and Spirituality – Lenten Evening Speaker Series

Wednesdays, Feb. 25, March 4,11,18,25; 6:30 - 7:30 pm, Parish Hall

Join us for five Wednesday evenings in Lent as guest speakers share their visions of Art and Spirituality. Sometimes, only art can reveal the invisible, inspiring, and often inexplicable aspects of our faith and our relationship with God. C.S. Lewis likened the human soul's journey to a painting in progress and Thomas Merton captured a similar vision, “Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.”  See the poster larger.

God's free gift

As we enter Lent, the Rev. Dr. Mark Hargreaves urges us to accept God's unconditional gift of forgiveness: "God's gift is still free and still available to all. And if we receive that gift, we're able to be completely honest with God and ourselves about the reality of our sins and failing."
