Military Outreach Ministries (M.O.M.) is holding its annual backpack drive again this year. They are asking the parish for donations by check or Gift Card (Target/Costco/Wal-Mart). Our hope is to reach a goal of providing 125 backpacks to children in need.
Checks or Gift Cards for $20 per backpack can be sent to the church office or given at a Sunday service. Please make checks payable to St. James by-the-Sea with “MOMS Backpacks” in the memo line. Donations are being accepted from July 31 through August 14th. Thank you.
90th Annual White Elephant Sale
"The best things in life aren't things"
The best things in life are people, experiences, and helping… So plan to be part of the 90th White Elephant Sale August 26th & 27th!

Meanwhile, clear out “things” from your home that are good quality treasures, new or gently used, and in good condition…
  • Donations can be dropped off Sun Aug 14-Fri Aug 19 from 10am 12pm at the church hall.

We need volunteers for a few hours or entire days - to help out, have fun and make a difference:
  • For the week of set-up:  Sat 8/20-Thurs 8/25
  • For the White Elephant Sale: Sat August 27
  • A Sign-Up Genius will be sent out 8/1 and volunteer sign-up sheets will be available after both services. Additional volunteer sign-up details to follow.

See all the details on our website HERE.
