Ecopalians Welcomes Local Vermiculure Farmer Ruth Johnson
Join Ecopalians as we welcome Ruth for a talk & discussion of her journey in urban farming, its potentials, and as we introduce an opportunity to see her worms in action.
Ruth began her regenerative farm, Paradise Found, during the pandemic with some very important partners: hundreds of thousands of worms. This is an innovative form of hydroponic (soilless) urban farming called vermiponics. With the help of her worms, hundreds of 5 gallon buckets of food waste and water, and a special biological tea, her quarter acre farm now provides local lettuce to Michelin Guide mentioned Little Frenchie in Coronado.
