This Sunday's Sermon: "Do Unto Others"

Sunday @ 10:00 am

In this Sunday's gospel lesson (Luke 6:20-31), Jesus speaks blessings and woes, and gives some advice on how we should live with each other.

Join us in the pews, in the Zoom or streamed on facebook. Preview the service here.

This Sunday is All Saints Sunday

On this day, it is traditional to remember those saints (baptized followers of Christ) who have died in the Lord in the past year. We will read the names of members, family and friends of St. John who have died in the past year. We also will observe our local custom of having the saints’ names written on ribbons in our worship space.

Missing Table!

Renaissance Academy is missing a table. This table is special because it has adjustable legs, so it can be used for the little kids as well as the bigger ones.

If you borrow anything from the church - furniture, table, chairs, wheelchair, cane, or any other equipment - you need to sign it out using the sheet on the counter in the office.

The school would really like this table returned. If you have it, please return it ASAP.

Did You Borrow a Table?

Please return it!

Christmas is Coming!

Soon it will be time to put up the life-size nativity scene on the lawn in front of St. John House. It should be put up right after Thanksgiving. It hasn't been set up for a few years as the folks that used to do it are no longer able. We would like to sell the set, but we will give it one more year to see if there is any interest.

Would you be interested in helping with this, or perhaps leading this effort? If so, please contact John Dresden.

Bless We the Name of the Lord!

Saturday, November 15 @ 7:00 pm

The young musicians of Hearts Hands and Voices will offer us a glimpse of what they've been learning in this energetic and joy-filled program. All are welcome to come and share in praising the Lord.

Tutors are Needed!

Volunteers are needed to tutor elementary-age students in reading or math. This is a rewarding experience and requires as little as an hour a week. If you can read you can tutor! Volunteers need not be St. John members, so tell your friends and invite them to participate! Tutoring can make a huge difference in a child's future.

Students are tutored at the church in the afternoon at a day and time agreed upon by the tutor and the student. For more information contact Shirley George at 678-478-8642.

Support CARES of Farmington Hills!

Thank you for your food/personal care/cleaning product contributions for our neighbors in need. Please continue to buy a couple of items each week and bring to the shelf by the coffee area. If you are a Meijer shopper, they have gone to a pricing policy where you need to buy two (or 3) of an item to get a good sale price. Why not bring the extra to CARES? Thank you for your participation in this important ministry. For more information click this link
