My Note of Thanks to You

How Great is our God, Sing with me, How Great is our God”... the lyrics to one of my

all time favorite songs which speaks directly to my heart. It truly is a calling for me to

share these beautiful words and melodies with the congregation on Celebrate Sundays.

And I thank you for this privilege.

Throughout my twenty-or-so years of being a part of the Celebrate team, I have come to

know those Sunday mornings as some of my finest hours. A time when my faith gets a

punctuation of sorts...it solidifies and defines the prayers I’ve been praying throughout

the week and allows me to go forward in my next leap of faith. It also lets me share that

experience with you, the congregation. This is pure joy. And it is an honor.

There was a spell during my twenties when my faith lay dormant. Life was cool, running

smoothly. But then, several circumstances progressively converged together, causing

me to fall into deep despair. This is when my connection to the Divine reawoke and I

called upon God for help...and it came loud and clear. From that day forward I have

lived with God on my shoulder, just like the words we sang last Sunday, “Lord I Need

You, Oh I need You. Every hour I need You.

I thank you again for the opportunity to express and share my faith on Celebrate

Sundays, and I look forward to our continued walk together.

Grace alone, which God supplies. Strength unknown, He will provide.”

Many Blessings,

Leslie Woods
