Congregation Council 9/17

The Congregation Council will meet on September 17th at 6:00 in the conference room.

Cathy Hanson Memorial Service 9/18

A memorial service for Cathy Hanson will take place at St. Luke on September 18th at 11:00am.

Bible Study 9/20

The monthly Bible Study will meet on Sunday, September 20th following worship. We will study the texts for Sept. 27th. Feel free to bring a mug for coffee during the meeting!

Oct Scroll Deadline 9/21

The October Scroll deadline is September 21st. Please have all articles to Katie at communications@stlukegf.org.

Kasey Peek Memorial Service 9/26

A memorial service will take place for Kasey Peek on Saturday, September 26th at 10:00am at St. Luke.

Kid's Corner 9/27

The next Kids' Corner will be on September 27th! Kids will spend part of the worship service hearing an age-appropriate bible story, having snacks, doing simple crafts, singing songs, etc. before returning to worship for the passing of the peace and communion.

Blood Drive 10/1

Please commit to sharing the precious gift of life, by giving blood, at our Red Cross Blood Drive on Thursday, October 1st 1:00-6:00 p.m. This special gift may turn out to be life-saving for a family member, friend, neighbor or even a complete stranger. One thing is certain; you will make a life affirming difference in someone’s life.

Sign up at the Blood Drive table in the narthex following our worship services on Sundays in September or make an appointment by calling 1-800-RED CROSS.

CROP Walk 10/18

Gales Ferry/Ledyard CROP Hunger Walk registration is open! The CROP Hunger Walk will take place on October 18th at United Methodist Church of Gales Ferry,

10 Chapman Lane. Please join us in the fight against hunger. The steps we take and funds we raise will make a difference in the lives of others.

Veggies for Members and Visitors

Extra veggies from the community garden are located in a basket on the kitchen counter. Members and visitors in need are welcome to take some home!

SAIL Assembly 10/28

The Southeast Alliance for Interfaith Leadership (SAIL) Founding Assembly will take place on Wed., Oct. 28th from 6:30pm-8:30pm at St. Paul Catholic Church in Waterford. We have a goal of 50 St. Luke members attending! Sign up sheets can be found on the bulletin board by the fellowship hall.

Lifelong Learning News

Kids Corner is looking for volunteers to run a class or assist with set up and organizing. There is a sign up sheet outside the kitchen. You can sign up to help one time or a few! If you are interested please see Erica Sullivan or Mark Larson with any questions.

Crisis Meals

Please contact Pastor Heidi or Sue Anderson if you are in need of meal assistance during a difficult time.
