Souper Bowl Sunday –

Potluck Luncheon & Food Drive on 2/8

Join us Sunday, February 8th for a potluck soup luncheon as we enjoy a warm meal together and lend a hand to our local community.

Bring a pot of soup, a loaf of bread, or a dessert to share. We’ll also be collecting non-perishable food items to support our outreach partners:

  • Bring a can of Manwich to benefit the New London Meal Center
  • Or donate other non-perishable items for the Ledyard Food Pantry - Items needed: ramen, cream of chicken soup, beef and chicken broths, canned beef and more.

Sign-up sheets are available for soups, breads, and desserts. Let’s celebrate good food, good company, and a good cause before the big game!

Cash Disbursements Clerk Needed

We are in need of someone to volunteer to be our new Cash Disbursements Clerk for

St. Luke. The primary responsibility of this position is to sign all of our outgoing checks,

approximately 2-4 times per month, and would require this person to have their name

added to our checking account at Dime Bank. This also requires that the Cash

Disbursement Clerk verify the accuracy of each check (amount, payee, and date) prior

to signing. A secondary responsibility is to bring our weekly deposit to Dime Bank in

Ledyard. However, if someone would like to volunteer for this role and is only able to

sign checks but not bring the weekly deposit to the bank, that would be sufficient and

we can find someone else or one of the staff members to bring the deposit to the bank

each week. Thank you for considering this important role.

RaiseRight Gift Cards

How it works... merchants give St. Luke a small percent of each card you purchase. For example, you purchase a $100 Stop & Shop gift card, then St. Luke gets $4 you get $100 in groceries. Do this 4 weeks a month and you give St. Luke $16 at no cost to you! These dollars support the church's good samaritan funds which Pastor Heidi can use to support anyone during tight times. It's convenient for you and supports our outreach ministries! It’s a win-win! There are 100's of participating merchants like ShopRite, Dunkin Donuts, Home Depot, Walmart, TJMaxx, Amazon, and Subway just to name a few. To get cards deliverd to St. Luke Order on line at:

 https://www.raiseright.com

OR  Raise Right cards are available for purchase by check on the First and Third Sundays each month after Worship.

For more information contact Pat Robbins or Crystal Dame or  Email churchoffice@stlukegf.org
