Preschool Sleeping Nap Mats For Grins & Giggles

With JoAnn Fabrics closing their doors we were able to purchase the fleece needed for our nap mats at a discounted price. However, the batting and stuffing that we need for the

pillows and naps were not available at the store. The cost of the fleece came to $200. Before Carol Croteau left, she handed me a 20-dollar bill and told me to put it towards the

fabric. If NINE more families come forward with $20 each, we will have enough money to cover the cost of the batting and stuffing. Once those supplies are purchased we can ‘ LET THE SEWING BEGIN’!! Thank you for your generosity and support for our project!

Chickens! $20 per flock!

CHICKEN FLOCK contributions on March 30 were $308, enough for FIFTEEN MORE FLOCKS! Please use the chicken envelopes in the pews to contribute, no amount is too small or too large. Online givers can use the Heifer International button on the St. Luke page.

 Thanks from the Outreach Team.

Each flock of chicks:

  • Provides eggs and protein for nourishment
  • Boosts income through sales of extra eggs and offspring
  • Ensures security for generations through Passing on the Gift

Nursery Coverage Help Needed

We are in need of volunteers  to help cover the nursery during worship. This is a simple yet hugely helpful way to support our young families during worship.

Until we hire a regular nursery attendant, we are counting on us…the people of St. Luke…to fill in gaps.

Many hands make light work! An opportunity for a multi-generational experience!

No kids? Experience the awesome kids of St. Luke! Empty nest? Relive the glory days!  Grandkids far away? Practice grand parenting with the cuties of St. Luke! Worried that you’ll miss Worship? We are looking into mounting a SMART TV in the nursery so volunteers and the kids can experience the livestream.

Please consider helping out in the nursery. There is a sign-up sheet outside the Fellowship Hall. Volunteers have to be 18 OR under 18, paired with an adult.

Kids’ Corner: April 13

April 13: We are seeking several volunteers to help us teach the kids how to make crosses from their palm leaves. Please see Leigh Sammons.

BIG NEWS! Beginning in May, Kids’ Corner will meet twice a month, on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month. Volunteers to help or lead an activity are always needed. It’s easy, fun, and low stress.

Kid Friendly Good Friday: April 18

A Kid Friendly Good Friday event will take place at St. Luke on 4/18 from 10:30am-12:00pm with Good Friday themed crafts, a story & snacks. All ages are welcome at this event hosted by St. Luke & St. David’s.

The April Scroll is Here!

The April Scroll has arrived! Pick it up in the Narthex or read it online now.

Maundy Thursday April 17

Easter Service 4/20

Join us at 8AM and 10AM on April 20th for Easter Sunday Worship! There will be an Easter Egg Hunt at 9:30 AM as well.

Community Garden

In March, we will begin working in the Community Garden on Wednesday mornings (9:30AM) and if we have enough interest, we will do Saturdays as well, until we are all “set up”. All is only when weather is permitting. Hopefully we will be done with setup  by April. We usually plant near Memorial Day after the “last” frost.

Please let Penny or Ray Heller know your interest especially in working Saturday mornings. We can teach you all about Regenerative Gardening and No Till practices.

The Chosen Viewing

We will continue our viewing of The Chosen on April 6.

Easter Flowers Sign Up

Sign ups for Easter Flowers are available on the bulletin board outside of the fellowship hall. Prices will follow soon!

St. Luke Meal Ministry

Food can be made out of love for our families, as an act of service and worship. When it is done with this mindset, it will uplift your spirit, too!

Did you know St. Luke has many amazing cooks who love to cook for others in need of a meal due to surgery, illness, injury, bereavement, or a new baby? If you, or someone you know of at St. Luke could use some support in the form of a meal, please reach out to Sue Anderson (suea626@yahoo.com) or through the Outreach Team (outreach@stlukegf.org) Please do not hesitate to ask on behalf of yourself or a family in need.

If you would like to support this ministry by occasionally providing a meal for a family in need, reach out to Sue or the Outreach Team at the emails provided.
