Hot Breakfast
Breakfast this Sunday, December 13,
will be provided by guest chefs, Nelson & Janice Toebbe. 
 
This will be the last breakfast for 2018. The next breakfast will be January 6, to be provided by guest chefs, Peter & Alissa Finnis.  
 
Please plan on joining everyone in Board Hall between 8:30am and 9:45 where you will not only enjoy great food but a time for fellowship.

There are still openings left on the 2019 calendar for the weekly Sunday Altar Flower Memorials.  
 
Previous donors are encouraged to renew their Sunday soon and new donors are welcome and encouraged to respond with a date!

St.Luke's Book Club 
YOU ARE INVITED to St Luke's Book Club on
December 18 at 6:00.
UPDATE: Our book selection has been updated for December. It is  The Boys in the Boat by Daniel James Brown. This is a narrative of nine young men at the University of Washington and their arduous quest for gold at the 1936 Olympics.
 
MEETING INFO : Lyman House, December 18, THIRD (3rd) Tuesday monthly at 6:00 PM for 2+- hours of rousing conversations and introductions to books of almost every genre. At the end of each meeting, we discuss books for the next month's selection, so bring your suggestions with you.

Your order must be received by 3:00pm on Wednesday, December 19. Pick-up is at church Saturday, December 22 from 9:00am to noon.

Christmas Decorations 
The decorating of the church with poinsettias and wreaths for Christmas will be after the
Sunday 10am service, December 23.  
 
We request that as many of you that are willing and able, please come out and help.

Save the date to un-decorate   the church on
January 6, 2018, after the 10am service.  
 
Remember, many hands makes quick work, and more fun!   Thank you!!
 
Centering Prayer
Reminder that there will be no Centering Prayer in December due to the Christmas holidays.

We will next meet on the fourth Tuesday of January, January 23rd at 6pm.
 
Church Office Closing 
The parish office will be closed on Monday, December 24 and will reopen on Wednesday, January 2, 2019.   
 
If there is a pastoral emergency, please contact Fr. Michael at 757-876-3786.

Bible Study : Off 2 weeks 
There will be NO bible study on December 19 or 26.

It will resume the following Wednesday, January 2nd.
 
December 29 & 30 
On the weekend of December 29th and 30th, we will be observing our regular worship schedule.

Lay Pastoral Care Ministry 
Pastoral care is a ministry provided by volunteer parishioners to individuals needing home, hospital, nursing home or rehabilitation facility visitations.
 
Arrangements can be made for communion and meals as requested.
                        
All information is confidential unless you give permission to share with others.
 
CALL THE CHURCH OFFICE TO LET US KNOW YOUR NEEDS .
 
Reminder, if you do go to the hospital, let the hospital know your church affiliation or try to have your caregiver do so.

Reflections Plays for St. Luke's   
Sunday, December 24th (Christmas Eve Celtic Service at 6:30 pm)
 
Always a favorite for Christmas Eve, the 6:30 pm Celtic Christmas service will feature Ms. Chelsea Balmer on harp, with additional accompaniment by violinists, Scott Moore and Erica Pisaturo.  
 
This year, Christmas Eve preludes will be presented separately, by Scott Moore and Erica Pisaturo...and Chelsea.  
 
In addition to music from the Glendalough Mass, the celtic beat will always be present in both the various anthems as well as the traditional Christmas Carols sung with the congregation.
