Sung Compline
Sunday, November 11 at 7:00pm
Compline is the final prayer service of the day in the Church's ancient prayer cycle that marks the hours of the day. This month's service will be sung by a choir of tenors and basses. It lasts about 25 minutes, and provides a peaceful way to end the weekend in contemplation and beauty. After the service, all are invited to a local restaurant for food, drink, and discussion.
Remembrance Sunday
The Liberty Memorial adorned with poppies - now through November 11 each evening
This year marks the 100th Anniversary of the end of the First World War.  Many of our brother and sister Anglicans around the world celebrate this Sunday as "Remembrance Sunday." While The Episcopal Church's calendar does not, I invite you to join me in wearing a poppy in thanksgiving for the peace that ensued from the ceasing of violence of this horrific war.

Peace,
Fr. Charles

Eternal God, in whose perfect kingdom no sword is drawn but the sword of righteousness, no strength known but the strength of love: So mightily spread abroad your Spirit, that all peoples may be gathered under the banner of the Prince of Peace, as children of one Father; to whom be dominion and glory, now and for ever. Amen. BCP 815

Sponsoring the altar flowers is a beautiful way to honor loved ones. Flowers are often given to mark special life events such as birth and birthdays; anniversary of a wedding, baptism, confirmation; the memory of a loved one; or as a thanksgiving for life’s blessings. Flowers are not a budgeted item in our church operations. The only funds available for use by this ministry are the funds you donate. You are invited to take part in this ministry!

If you'd like to sponsor altar flowers, click here for more information.
