Rorate Caeli Mass
Today, December 12, 6pm
From our Rorate Mass in December 2016
Today, Wednesday, December 12 at 6:00 p.m.

The Rorate Caeli Mass takes it name from the opening words of the Introit in Latin: "Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness; let the earth open, and bring forth a Savior" (Isaiah 45:8).

It is a votive Mass during Advent in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and is only illuminated by candlelight. The themes of this liturgy are particularly focused on hope and the power of God to meet us in the midst of our suffering, pain and grief. Please join us!

You are invited to contribute to assist with the Christmas flowers! We do not budget for these funds, but rely on individual contributions. Hat and Glove Drive
Please note that the deadline for these donations is this Sunday, December 16th . We will bless them at the 10:00 Mass, and they will be distributed shortly thereafter.

You are invited to donate new w inter hats and gloves for youth and children being served by Saint Francis Ministries. In the Kansas City area, Saint Francis serves young people in foster care as well as those who are in recovery from alcohol and drug addiction. Please consider bringing winter hats and gloves by the 3rd Sunday of Advent (12/16) so that the items can be presented to the youth along with their Christmas presents at their holiday party later in the month. Simply leave them in the back of the nave in the basket next to the font (the same one we use to collect food for DTO).

Fr. Charles' side note: it's easy to add winter hats and gloves to your next Amazon purchase. I ordered this one; there are lots of options.

Saint Francis' mission is to provide healing and hope for children and families and has ministries in five states as well as two countries in Central America. For more information visit .
