In addition to our normal weekday Masses this week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 12:05 p.m.), the following two Masses will also be celebrated:
Conversion of St. Paul
Friday, January 25 at 12:05 p.m.

Choral Evensong and Benediction
Choral Evensong and Benediction
Sung by The William Baker Festival Singers
Sunday, January 27th, 5:00 p.m.

The Vestry of St. Mary’s Church appointed the William Baker Festival Singers as Chorus-in-Residence in June 2018. The relationship began with the 2018-2019 concert season and extends through the 2020-2021 season. St. Mary’s is the primary concert home of the 50-voice semi-professional chorale . They performs three subscription concerts here each season, sing Choral Evensong twice per year, and collaborate with the Music Ministry of the church in a number of other events.   www.FestivalSingers.org

The Anglican tradition of Evensong is an ancient and venerable one. It is a 16 th Century conflation and expansion of the daily offices of Vespers and Compline. Let the words of the prayers, lessons, and choral music wash over you. Pray with us and with the whole Communion of Saints as we participate in the Church’s obedience to our Lord’s command “pray without ceasing” as we offer our sacrifice of praise.

Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament enables us, outside the context of the Holy Eucharist, physically and spiritually, to freeze liturgical time at that one moment in the mass when the consecrated host is offered to and for the Faithful: Ecce Agnus Dei : Behold the Lamb of God! We pause and reflect. We gaze upon and adore. We acknowledge and proclaim the real presence of the living and resurrected Lord Jesus Christ in the Most Blessed Sacrament of the Altar.
Mary Troost
Thanks to those who were able to be present for the blessing of the portrait of Mary Troost that was recently donated to our parish. Many thanks to Tom Taylor for donating the portrait and to Terry Newell for taking photos. Michael Frost has written a biography of Mary Troost and would be glad to answer any questions you may have about her involvement with St. Mary's.

Social Justice Ministry Opportunity - rescheduled
Fellow St. Mary's parishioners,

After the Advent adult forum on social justice, I felt led to help organize a meaningful way for us to serve those in need. With Fr. Charles's blessing, I'm asking your prayerful consideration to join me in this work.

Sex Workers Outreach Project (SWOP) is an organization that, among other things, will connect volunteer pen pals to sex workers who are currently incarcerated. We are called to sustain those within God's community with the light of love, understanding, and compassion, and Christ included sex workers within His boundless community.

DUE TO WEATHER THIS PAST SUNDAY we have rescheduled for February 3 after the 10:00am High Mass . For those interested, we will be filling out volunteer forms and from there, SWOP will contact us individually to connect us with our pen pals. I'll be sure to have frequently asked questions handy, so folks can know a little more about this program.

In Christ,
Chris Steinauer
