Daily Mass
St. Mary's family,

Effective Monday, September 2 , the Daily Mass schedule will be as follows:

Weekdays (except Wednesday)
12:00 p.m.: Low Mass

6:00 p.m.: Evening Prayer with Holy Communion
followed by dinner

11:00 a.m.: Low Mass

We tried the 7:00 a.m. time slot on Mondays and Fridays, but it seems that not everyone is a morning person like I am! The only change to the existing schedule is moving those two services to noon.

The weekday services are generally 30 minutes long (except on high holy days when they may last an additional 5-10 minutes) and provide a peaceful interruption of the day's business and worries. If you haven't been to one, I encourage you to pop by sometime soon!

Fr. Charles

PS I am grateful to these devoted priests for giving of their time and energy for this important ministry: Fr. Sean Kim, Fr. Robert Hutcherson, Fr. Larry Parrish, Dean Chas Marks (St. Augustine's), and Dean Don Compier (Bishop Kemper School for Ministry). Because of their faithful dedication, the Eucharist is truly the heartbeat of our parish each and every day!
Newcomer Wine and Cheese Reception
Attention all newcomers to St. Mary's! You are invited to join the Vestry and Clergy for a wine and cheese reception on Monday, September 23rd at 6:00 p.m.

Newcomer is loosely defined on purpose. If you have started coming to St. Mary's in the past six months or so, you're invited!

Please RSVP by clicking here so that we know how many to plan for. When we get closer to the date, we will email everyone who has RSVP'd the address of the event (thanks to Fr. Sean for hosting this event at his condo downtown!).
The bad guys are at it again! Please know that Fr. Charles will never send emails like this, nor will he ask you to purchase gift cards or other things. His email address is his first and last name at gmail.com, and as you can see here, this came from some other email address created to look like it came from him. When in doubt, call him directly to confirm whether the email is legitimate!
Sung Compline
Sunday, September 8, 7:00 p.m.

Compline is the final prayer service in the Church's ancient prayer cycle that marks the hours of the day. This month's service will be sung by a choir of sopranos and altos. It lasts about 25 minutes, and provides a peaceful way to end the weekend in contemplation and beauty.
