Where does the time go?  Mother Nature is filled with surprises lately as temperatures have been like a roller coaster  (-25 to 50's). Still counting our blessings with minimal snow and Spring around the corner.

We are in the middle of February and four weeks away from the end of the 3rd quarter. Sycamore Education is a critical communication tool for parents with your student(s) teachers.  Please take this opportunity to review your student(s) grades, future projects, and scheduled tests/quizzes before the end of the quarter.

The  ACRE test  was administered to the 5th and 8th grade students on Tuesday, February 12. The acronym stands for Assessment of Catechesis/Religious Education. - This test is published by the NCEA (National Catholic Educational Association).  ACRE  helps educators in Catholic schools and parishes know the strengths and weaknesses of their catechetical programs. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Marks or Mrs. Brennan.

Detail information about registration for the 2019-2020 school year will be sent to our school families in a separate parent email this week.

As a friendly reminder, there is no school on Monday, February 18th and an early dismissal on Wednesday, February 20th.

Have a blessed week,

Deborah Flamm
Principal

Jill Bricking (8th) became our school champion for the St. Thomas School National Geographic Bee on Thursday, January 24th, narrowly defeating Jake Dalton (5th) in the single elimination tie-breaker rounds. The GeoBee is held each year and the winning school champion takes an online placement test to determine whether they will attend the state level by scoring a certain percentage. Jill recently took her online placement test, and we are awaiting results!
