Thanks to everyone who came out to support Star of the Day's reading of 'Poppy & the Magic Tutu' in Chester, NJ and Hellertown, PA. We had two successful events and our audiences provided us with much needed feedback. We are currently using your feedback to make changes to the show to make it the best it can be. We have generated a lot of interest in the Valley as well as in New Jersey. Stay tuned for listings of upcoming productions of the dancing hippo and her wildly entertaining circus friends.
We are still in need of donations to finish the costumes and set for the show. If you can help Poppy and her friends out please visit our website.

Acting Up!
Thank you to all who participated in our first Summer Theater Workshop Series. The 8-week workshop series covered a variety of areas all blooming actors need to know before setting out on their professional performing journey. We covered monologues, cold readings, improv, acting as a business, commercial acting, audition technique and more.
We are proud to announce that we will be offering a 10-WEEK ACTING INTENSIVE every Monday night from 7-9 PM September 12 through November 14 held at Accents Model and Talent Center on Nazareth Pike in Bethlehem. Perfect for ages 14 and up. Each week we will focus on a different acting technique, scene study, monologue study, movement for actors, voice and diction, and much more. At the end of the 10 weeks there will be a FREE performance for friends & family.

Our mission is threefold: To increase the arts in education by presenting quality entertainment with moral lessons, to provide an affordable arts education both in schools and privately, and to encourage children with autism and other special needs through creative and dramatic play.

Star of the Day Event Productions will embark on a new adventure Thursday, September 1st and the first thursday of every month with the acquisition of Lehigh Valley's premier Cabaret and Open Mic Piano Bar held in the High Gravity Lounge at Allentown Brew Works. Join us Thursday, September 1st for 'New Beginnings' featuring the fabulous vocal stylings of Wendy Borst, Janis Greim, Tom Guastavino, Christine Hunt Hjorth, Ryan Kelly, and Timothy Walton and accompanied by Oli Blatt and co-hostessed by Kirsten Almeida and Greta Kleckner. I had the honor of attending the rehearsal for our first event and I can tell you this line-up is going to WOW! The song selections and talent are truly top-of-the-line. We are excited to continue the tradition of the Spotlight Cabaret created by Allentown Public Theatre while developing new and creative ways to produce it.
As a matter of fact, Star of the Day Event Productions has recently teamed with the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition to present:
Phenomenal Women
a special October Spotlight Cabaret on October 6th. Please SAVE THE DATE and join us as we present an incredible line-up of the area's best female vocalists backed by a 3 piece band. There will be a special raffle for some amazing prizes and honorarium/in memoriam luminaries will also be available for purchase starting September 2nd, through our website, all to raise awareness and money in support of breast cancer research and patient support services.
