StonemontQC V7 Release

Stonemont Solutions is pleased to announce the release of Version 7.  We will be offering webinars during the next several weeks to introduce the new features of Version 7.  If you are interested in updating to the latest version please contact us.

Integration
  • StonemontQC is now a single application that integrates all previous features of aggQC, asphaltQC, concreteQC, crusherQC, and Plant Flow. This facilitates ease of use, especially for vertically integrated companies or central labs that perform aggregate, asphalt, and concrete testing.
  • Auto-Reporting and Analysis features now run as a service rather than a scheduled application. This allows some reports to be run hourly, however, note that the testing may not be fully complete when an hourly report is run. Hourly reports are simply to provide managers with more timely updates, if necessary.
Interface
  • The StonemontQC interface has been updated to be more consistent with the Office 2010 interface, which uses a ribbon instead of a toolbar. The ribbon organizes features into tabs instead of having a single long-running conglomeration of buttons. For example, printing, exporting, and emailing functions are on a tab named output. Also, the ribbon includes larger icons for easier navigation.
  • The ribbon does require that users select the appropriate tab to perform the necessary function. Therefore, we have included support for function and shortcut keys to facilitate performing common tasks such as previewing a report.
  • StonemontQC now uses a home page concept on many hierarchical forms, such as company setup, customer setup, user setup, aggregate, asphalt, and concrete plant product setup, crusher setup, aggregate blending, and quality test entry forms. The home page allows users to perform searches to quickly and easily find the information they are seeking and improves the organization and performance of the software. Other forms, such as plant setup and plant component setup, that don't use the home page concept, use icons rather than trees for navigational purposes. This change improves performance by not loading information from the database prior to the user identifying the information they are seeking.
  • The ability to use "Save As" was added to several areas within the program. For example, if a user sets up a product at a plant and wants to save a new but similar product at the same plant then Save As should be used. Copying is still available but is most useful when copying multiple items to different plants.
  • Reports are now a single section in the control panel. Agency reports are now subgroups of either Aggregate or Asphalt Reports.
  • Division Product setup for aggregate, asphalt, and concrete is now a single item in the Setup section.
  • Several forms were modified to support asynchronous loading, which is identified by a progress circle in the upper-left corner of forms. If the progress circle is visible, the form is still loading.
  • The analysis section in the control panel in previous versions has been separated into two sections named Analysis and Charts. Charting tools, such as run charts and control charts, are now in the section named Charts. Analysis tools, such as statistical analysis, remain in the section named Analysis.
  • StonemontQC supports interfaces to several different concrete batching/dispatching software providers including Jonel Dispatch, Commandbatch, Kronware, and MPAQ.
Improvements
  • Added a Job Query. The Job Query when used with analysis tools combines products used on the same job but from different plants and analyzes the data as a single product. The Job Query when used with reporting tools allows products used on the same job to be more easily queried and reported but they are not treated as a single product.
  • Analysis and sample reporting query forms no longer require that the user run the query to obtain the samples prior to running the analysis or report.
  • Added the ability to chain specifications by using starting and ending dates and the ability to assign a parent specification. Chaining specifications allows data to be analyzed against the specification that was applicable during a certain time period. Chaining specifications are applicable when using tools like statistical analysis and run charts. They are not applicable when running reports that simply compute the average results such as the basic and detail statistical summaries.
  • Added the ability to specify a start date for auto-reports, which may correspond to a new specification start date.
  • Concrete Mix Design was updated by adding the ability to enter notes and use time-temperature factor (TTF).
  • Asphalt Mix Design was updated to improve our nomenclature and our MS-2 compliance. Lab batching is more robust and lab batching options are now saved. The ability to track notes and asphalt mix history has been added.
  • Added the ability to specify the asphalt and concrete mix that is the current batch system mix.
  • Added support for multiple sample type selection on some analysis query forms.
  • Added/Updated several DOT specific worksheets for specific gravity calculations and asphalt volumetrics.
  • Added the ability to restore a customer.
  • Added a quantity fields to customer incident form.
  • Added customer incident reports that show only those incidents assigned to customers and they are sorted by customer.
