New2013 in Review

We had enhancements to the Live Events feature, with the ability to include live events in the reports. In the Settings feature, Education Coordinators can now customize how far in advance required courses will display for employees. The library has welcomed some new courses, including dementia care resources, AODA, Community Care, and Retirement education. Supervisors and Education Coordinators can now import and export a user's education history if that employee relocates to a different home using Surge Learning. A new report has been added called Monthly Education Summary Report. This was a suggestion from Education Coordinators and it has definitely been beneficial for Homes since being added. When users become inactive, Education Coordinators can now note the reason and date. The Education Assessment has been renamed to Custom Assessment, allowing multiple assessments to be active at the same time and assigned to specific departments. In 2013, a feature was added for Education Coordinators to assign education to individual users, in addition assign courses with different dates for different departments. When completing courses, Homes now have the ability to set the passing mark for tests and course certificates can be printed after successful completion. We have also added functionality to make viewing courses even easier using different mobile devices.

Surge Learning grew to support over 24,000 users completing over 60,000 courses per month. What a FANTASTIC year!

Thank you for your support, we appreciate it.

This year, Surge Learning will be adding a new module to develop surveys. Also, look for enhanced reporting and re-occurring live events coming this year!! We are excited about some of the new content we will be developing this year, expect to see the inclusion of topics such as Team Work in Health Care, Leadership, Wheelchair Safety, Wellness, and resources for Volunteers, Recreation Staff, Community Living, and Acute Care .
