I want so much to say "Happy Autumn" to all of you this month, but for many of us in America right now, the changing of the seasons, rather than bringing hope and renewal, brings fear, division and isolation. Regardless of what the coming socio-political year might look like, it will be transformative, and hopefully we can rely on our inner resources to get through whatever comes next.

In the five years that I've been publishing this newsletter, I've been careful to avoid taking strong positions on politics and religion for fear of offending some of our subscribers. I still stay away from directly addressing politics, but this month I've taken a deep dive into religion (with a sprinkling of politics thrown in), via the two special episodes of my Ask Doctor Death podcast that are announced below. For these episodes, I've added a disclaimer... if you are uncomfortable engaging with these topics, listen at your own risk.

Happy Autumn!

If You are Grieving and Need Help
Getting Through the Holiday Season...
Dr. Terri Daniel is offering the second in her series of online Grief as a Mystical Journey workshops beginning November 8. The four Sunday evening sessions will focus specifically on coping with grief and loss during the holidays.

If you are mourning the death of a loved one or a loss of any kind (including divorce, job loss, pet loss or any major life transition), this twice-monthly online support group offers the opportunity to talk about your loss experience and learn from others in a safe, supportive setting facilitated by a professional grief and loss counselor.

Physicist at a Funeral
by Aaron Freeman
"You want a physicist to speak at your funeral. You want the physicist to talk to your grieving family about the conservation of energy, so they will understand that your energy has not died. You want the physicist to remind your sobbing mother about the first law of thermodynamics; that no energy gets created in the universe, and none is destroyed. You want your mother to know that all your energy, every vibration, every Btu of heat, every wave of every particle that was her beloved child remains with her in this world. You want the physicist to tell your weeping father that amid energies of the cosmos, you gave as good as you got." READ MORE...

The 2021 Afterlife Conference Survey is Still Open
And Your Feedback is Still Needed!

As we announced last month, we are planning to hold next year's conference (June 24-27) LIVE, despite the fact that nobody can predict what Covid conditions will be like that that time.

It's hard to plan a conference (much less sell tickets) in such an uncertain environment, so we created a survey that will help us get a better a picture about how our followers are feeling about traveling and attending large events.

The survey only takes one minute to complete, and we would very much appreciate it if you would give us your feedback. You can find the survey HERE.
