Harmon Apartments Recognized with PRISM Design Award

We are proud to share that Harmon Apartments is the recipient of the Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Boston (BRAGB) PRISM Silver Award for Excellence in Community Design, Best Universal Design. Congratulations to our partners: Peabody Companies, DiMella Shaffer, Columbia Construction, Affirmative Investments, and the City of Boston on this exciting award!

The PRISM Awards recognize the finest projects and outstanding achievements of builders, remodelers, developers, project owners, architects, land planners, marketing and advertising firms, interior designers, and other professionals in the home building industry. Harmon Apartments was inspired by Cordelia Harmon, who founded The Boston Home in 1881 with an innovative vison of creating a home for people with long term disabilities to live with independence and dignity. In 2013, knowing that a need existed for supportive affordable housing for people with progressive diseases and mobility impairments, The Boston Home initiated the effort to build Harmon Apartments, an affordable and fully accessible apartment building for adults with disabilities. In May 2019, Harmon Apartments opened its doors with 36 apartments located on The Boston Home campus. “It is an honor to receive this prestigious award from BRAGB and a true testament to what can be achieved through collaboration,” said Melissa Fish-Crane, principal and CEO of the Peabody Companies.
