Sandy traveled to Amersfoort, Netherlands, for the annual Public Relations Global Network (PRGN) Spring Conference. More than 50 of our sister agencies from around the world gathered to explore new public relations trends and technologies, dig deeper into our partners' global markets, and share best practices in agency management and client results. Sandy also moderated a discussion on succession planning.

We traveled to Washington, D.C., and billions of years into the past, to help launch the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History's David H. Koch Hall of Fossils - Deep Time a spectacular 31,000 sq. ft. display of approximately 700 specimens -- including a T. rex -- that engages visitors by exploring Earth's 3.7 billion-year history to understand our world today and plan a sustainable future. 

Boston Arts Academy Foundation's " Building Our Future" campaign was featured in The Boston Globe, Boston Herald, CBS Boston, and WGBH Radio, among others. BAA's partnership with Avid Technology CEO Jeff Rosica was featured in The Boston Globe. BAA students, faculty and supporters were highlighted on WCVB-TV "CityLine" and WGBH "Open Studio with Bowen." 

The College of Saint Rose announced a $1.2 million gift to create the Women's Leadership Institute , a living-learning community to support the ongoing advancement of women leaders on campus. In addition, President Carolyn J. Stefanco was appointed chair of the American University in Bulgaria board of trustees , and was named to the boards of the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities and the Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities.

Pepperlane 's announcement of tech titan  Gail Goodman as chief product officer and co-founder was featured in The Boston Globe  and the Boston Business Journal . Gail also authored a piece in the Boston Business Journal  explaining her choice to forgo the role of CEO, and she appeared as a guest on  WBZ Radio , "NECN This Morning"   and Bloomberg "Baystate Business" to discuss how Pepperlane is building the Mom Economy.

Following a $10 million Series A funding round, Embark CEO and Co-Founder Ryan Boyko spoke with the Boston Business Journal and The Boston Globe and appeared on Bloomberg "Baystate Business Radio" and WBZ NewsRadio to discuss how Embark's genetic testing is leading the way in identifying canine preventable diseases, exact breeds and even relatives.

Newton-Wellesley Hospital recently hosted a traveling art display called "The Opioid Project" and WGBH shared the stories that puts human faces to the epidemic. Boston Magazine featured the hospital's annual gala on Saturday, May 11 which raised more than $1 million to benefit existing and new programs at the hospital, as well as funding improvements to its Special Care Nursery.

Congratulations to Brain Aneurysm Foundation Executive Director Christine Buckley who prevailed during PowerLaunch's Charity Warriors' final pitch challenge to win the grand prize of $10,000! The annual nonprofit accelerator competition started with 12 Massachusetts-based non-profits and included a series of challenges. BAF raised $15,000 over the course of 4 weeks to earn one of five spots in the final round. 

After a tough loss in a town used to winning, Papa Gino's consoled hockey fans with a free pizza for rewards card members (nearly 1 million!) the day after the Stanley Cup finals. The same-day-redeemable offer even got picked up in the New York Post

Imari Paris Jeffries, Parenting Journey's executive director, shared thoughts on creating a diverse pipeline of talent in Boston in the Boston Business Journal and CommonWealth Magazine. Imari also discussed the systemic barriers parents face, specifically affordable childcare, in the Somerville Journal and on the Boston Neighborhood Network News

United South End Settlements announced South End developer New Boston Ventures as its preferred buyer for the Harriet Tubman House. The sale will help the organization expand its Rutland Street facility, creating a new Harriet Tubman House, and sustain its ability to provide programs for families well into the future. USES recently held its Annual Neighborhood Gala in the heart of SoWa. More than 450 people, including actress Eliza Dushku and her husband, Peter Palandijan, City Councilor Ed Flynn and State Representative Jon Santiago attended the sold-out fundraiser, which supports USES' core programs for children, parents and caregivers. This exclusive, one-of-a-kind workshop on best practices around transitioning new college presidents featured insight and advice from Castle Principal Sandy Lish, AICUM President Rich Doherty, Bentley University President Alison Davis-Blake, and AVP for Strategic Communications and Chief of Staff Christopher Joyce

  • a six-day corporate incentive in Dubrovnik, Croatia, to celebrate more than 145 top sales performers and their guests from a national software and hardware reseller
  • a four-day, 170-person incentive for one of the nation's largest software and hardware resellers
  • a live-stream viewing party of the international user conference of a CRM software company to local employees in Cambridge
