Dear Friends:
The Greek word for good news or gospel literally means “news that brings joy”. And it didn’t just mean daily news, it meant history-making, life-shaping news. In Jesus’ day, the gospel was news of some event that changed things. I read that one difference between Christianity and all other religions, including no religion, is that other religions offer advice. Christianity is essentially news.

March 15, 2023
9:00AM - 4:00PM
The Episcopal Diocese of Alabama is offering "Courageous Conversation", an in-person training for clergy and lay leaders as we work to create pathways to racial reconciliation. We encourage a clergy member and a lay leader be in attendance from every parish.
This one-day in-person training is an experience that acquaints individuals with a set of tools known as The Protocol, to engage, sustain and deepen dialogues about race.
For more information contact the Missioner for Racial Healing and Pilgrimage, Bre Mitchell.

What is Camp Sunday?
An opportunity for all parishes to share camp experiences and spread the news about Camp McDowell. The goal of Camp Sunday is to promote the 100th year Celebration of Camp McDowell and promote Summer Camp registration.
How to host Camp Sunday at your Parish
There are many ways to have a Camp Sunday at your parish and we encourage you to make it your own! Check out ideas you can use during services, Sunday School classes, and other gatherings - click here. Questions? Email Catherine Poellnitz.
We are celebrating by inviting everyone to Camp McDowell from May 26-28th for many fun activities. This is the same weekend as Primary 1 and we will be joining them for an epic Pasture Party on Saturday night and a celebratory closing church service on Sunday morning.
This weekend will be an amazing opportunity to connect with old and new camp friends, and reminiscence about all your Camp McDowell memories while making new ones.
We are offering many different registration options, including day passes as well as opportunities for those who would like to come for the whole weekend.
Programming and activities include a wide range of choices like hiking, farm tours, speakers, canoeing, McDowell Environmental Center programs, ropes courses, etc.
