LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT |
Summer is in full swing and so are your Chambers activities and events. Our Green fest i
n its 10th year is always a great spring gathering event held at the community center.
Just last week we had a successful and well attended 3 Chamber meeting held at the Stony
Brook Yacht Club. We partnered with Three Village and Smithtown Chambers. A good time
was had by all and we look forward to next year.
At this time of year we are offering a special reduced membership fee. It's $125.00
½ price of the regular fee to join from now until January 2019.This is a great opportunity
for business people to learn how our Chamber can help them grow their business using
all of The Chamber resources. We have an active and always changing website where
members can advertise. Our Chamber staff is always present and eager to help our members.
Your Chamber works on promoting its members EVERY DAY.
Enjoy your summer, it will be gone before you know it.
Jim Karras

L.I. Pour House that include adding arcade games, new flavorful dishes, and a 140-inch flatscreen TV., new flooring and layout "We want to be a mix of Dave & Buster's and Miller's Ale House," said L.I. Pour House owner Anthony Pallino, who will close his restaurant the week of Fourth of July for staff training. Back in 2014, L.I. Pour House opened as a BBQ-style restaurant that featured its unique
IPourIt system, which allows patrons to pour their own craft beer. Now, the 33-year-old says it's time to expand his services to better entertain everyone,
especially families with kids. "We are big into the community," he said. "We want to give people a place they can call their home."

This year's 10thannual Green Fest had perfect weather for all our sustainable and environmentally conscience vendors. To celebrate the 10thanniversary we created a sub-event and welcomed for the general public the free service of shredding their paper items, up to 3 boxes full! For entertainment we invited Jeff Bellanca an improvisational solo guitarist, had a spiritual drumming circle and instructions in yoga. Many thanks to Risa Kluger as chair and her staff who did an outstanding job with this year's event!
The
Fourth of July Parade
had beautiful summer weather. The chamber 'unit' consisted of chamber members: J
oanne Cornell and her red mustang convertible, Countryside Animal Hospital, Jolie Powell Realty and her smart car, Slurp Ramen Restaurant, and All Souls Church. Once again the Chamber hired the marching brass jazz band-Wholly Brass and the Batmobile joined us! Thanks to our walkers,
Chamber Partner's: Karen Sullivan, Suzanne Velazquez, Jim Karras and all friends of the Chamber!
