Catching up with end of the summer events that Chamber hosted and our most current!
The Gardens & Landscape of Port Jefferson
had a spectacular weather day with approximately 80 attendees! There were 6 private home gardens, a collection of gardens along E. Main Street and the Chamber acted as a hospitality center. The Chamber hosted a local artist and a special garden demonstration was done on how to make a fairy garden!
At the end of July the Chamber in collaboration with the 3-Village, North Brookhaven, and Smithtown Chambers sponsored an evening of networking at the
Old Field Club. Lite snacks were available and over 125 attendees came.
In August for the second time our Chamber in partnership with the Patchogue Chamber held a networking event,
'Summer Sunset Soirée'
at Schafer's in Port Jefferson. There were 75 attendees who mingled on the top deck, where there was an open buffet. During the event a fun ice-breaking game was played, where teams had to write
down as many things that each Village had in common!
Moving along to September the Chamber in collaboration with Dans Papers hosted the 10th annual 'The Taste @ Port Jefferson'. Wildly successful and having Dan's Papers on board brought the event to a new level of showmanship. Supporting a 50x100 clear ceiling tent the tasting space was expanded to include outside. 'New Life Crisis' a very popular band provided music for the entire evening. A special VIP Lounge was created upstairs in the PJ Village Center where there were premium offerings of wine, beer and of course food. Many thanks to our Chair Ken Kroncke and to our Chamber volunteers!
Unfortunately the Village's 'Harvest Festival' was canceled due to bad weather, but the chamber did support the scarecrow walk on E. Street which still can be view by all.
