ISHOF  Names 2015
Eleanor Garatti-Saville Grant Recipient

Fort Lauderdale, FL - (April 26) - The International Swimming Hall of Fame (ISHOF) today announced that American diver Troy Dumais is the recipient of a $5,000 Eleanor Garatti-Saville Memorial Grant. The purpose of the grant is to help Olympic hopefuls achieve their dreams. At 35 years of age, Troy Dumais is the elder statesman of American Diving, but like expensive wine, he just keeps getting better with age. In 1995, he became the first U.S. junior diver to win two world junior titles since 1979 with gold medals on 1- and 3-meter springboards. He is a veteran of four Olympic Games (2000, 2004, 2008 and 2012), achieving his first podium appearance in London, in 2012, with partner Christina Ipsen in the 3m springboard synchro event. USA Diving's Steve Foley believes Troy's best is yet to come and that this grant will help to enable Troy to achieve his dream of medaling again in Rio in 2016.

The film contains wonderful diving footage of Greg's career and chronicles the complexities of life after sports for the world's most famous diver. It also delves deeply into his close relationship with 8-time Olympic Coach and Hall of Famer, Dr. Ron O'Brien and their incredible journey of dominance that spanned a decade. More:
