On his last visit to the Fort Lauderdale, before his death, the great George Haines parting words to our staff were: "You know, this really belongs in Santa Clara." That was the inspiration for leaders of the City to contact us several years ago and now his wish will soon become a reality.  With a bright future assured, you can help make swimming history by renewing or joining ISHOF as a member.  Your support will help us while we await the completion of our new home in Santa Clara.  If you join or renew at the $50 or more level, you will receive a $25 dollar gift card for SWIMOUTLET.COM. One of our great corporate partners.  To learn more about ISHOF membership and   to register electronically, click here.

Sun Moon Lake Swim
On Sunday, September 20, 2015, several members of the ISHOF staff, Laurie, Meg, and Marcia, were lucky enough to be able to be part of a group that attended the Sun Moon Lake Swim in Southern Taiwan with one of the swim's original founder's, ISHOF Selection Committee and FINA Member, Morrie Chang.  The race, in its 33rd year, had 20390 swimmers. It has become a favorite event in Taiwan and is known as the Sun Moon Lake International Swimming Carnival.  The race takes place in Sun Moon Lake, the largest fresh water lake in Taiwan. The race is 3 km and every participant must use some type of flotation device.  There are all levels of swimmers, including a handicapped group.  The race is a spectacular sight to behold and quite an event to be a part of.
On the occasion of the 110 year anniversary of the Latvian Federation , Erik van Heijningen (President of  Dutch Swimming Federation) offered Latvian president Kaspars Pone the ISHOF Safer Swimmer. The Nordic and Baltic Countries were present as well as Vladimir Salnikov (R).

ISHOF STAFF VISITS
SAFERSWIMMER FACTORY IN CHINA
While on their trip to China, the Hall of Fame staff also visited
the factory that produces our SaferSwimmer product line.  The factory is located about 1.5 hours outside the city of Shenzhen. There, the staff saw how the products are  made
from start to finish. Quality control testing and shipping are also done at the same facility.  Thank you to Godwin and Sky, our SaferSwimmer partners in China, for their hospitality on this leg of the trip.  To learn more about the SaferSwimmer products please visit our website at  www.saferswimmer.com     Be Seen and Be Safe!
