Resolutions for Better Communication in the New Year

Communication is the cornerstone of all successful relationships, both personal and professional. As we approach a new year, now is the perfect time to reflect on our communication habits and make resolutions to improve in the coming year.

You've spoken and we are listening. Several months ago, we invited the residents and their families to complete our annual company-wide survey. While there are several areas for improvement, the overall resounding theme was there is not enough communication.

Going into 2024, my resolution for myself as well as the rest of the team is to focus on improving how we communicate with our staff, residents, and families.

One program we are going to be reintroducing is our Family Call Program. The purpose of the Family Call Program is to make families aware of activities or events going on within the community. The program consists of monthly calls from one of the department managers.

We want our residents to feel as though they are at home here at The Legacy of Camden, with all the love, support, and care that comes from being in a family environment.

How can I get involved?

Ways to get involved.

I've had several families approach me or other managers to ask about providing a meal or snacks for the staff members as a way of saying thank you.

Would you be interested in providing snack/meal to staff during a monthly Townhall Meeting?
Yes! Where do I sign up?
No

Join me in welcoming our new Business Office Manager!

Bentae Wesley joined the Legacy family in April 2023 as an Administrative Assistant and quickly became an invaluable team member. She is always willing to help out anywhere there is a need. Several months ago, she began learning the different facets of managing the Business Office. I am excited to announce that she officially moved into the Business Office Manager role on January 1st.

We are always available to answer any questions you may have.

Each department has a designated leader to address your concerns or needs. If your questions are not answered and/or your concerns are not resolved, please express your concern to the Executive Director.
