Music at The Mission:
Christine Havrilla returns Oct 13!
Believe it or not, October 13th isn't that far away and we are very excited for our first house concert of the year. If you have not already RSVP'd for the Christine Havrilla show, you should do so soon. Her show sold out last spring and she brought the house down with her unique musical  style she calls "Neofunkadelicfolkpoptwangrock" .

Click here  to learn more about our full house concert lineup, and RSVP for one or more shows. Seats are limited so reserve early and mark your calendars!

All concerts start at 7 pm (unless otherwise noted) and are open to the public with a $10 suggested donation - all of which goes directly to the artists. Plus, guests staying at the Inn the night of a performance will also get to meet and mingle with the artists over breakfast the next day.
Christine Havrilla returns to The Mission Inn on Saturday, October 13 at 7 pm.
Chef's Corner: An Apple a Day
New York State isn't the only place that celebrates the apple. In Cape May we have several varieties that offer appeal (no pun intended!). Ginger gold, Staymen, Gala, Red Delicious, and Honey Crisp are a few that we get from a local orchard and incorporate into muffins and crisps, to dip or to munch on a beautiful fall morning. You know what they say: An apple a day...

Click here to see a map and find a list of New Jersey apple orchards near you.

Out and About in Cape May
Did you know that a group of dolphins is called a "pod"? Recently our guests have reported seeing many dolphin pods at the beaches near the inn, at Sunset beach, and on the boat cruises around Cape May.

Pictured here is long-time Mission Inn guest Larry O. (photo credit to his wife Elizabeth) from Ambler, PA, as they enjoyed a Dolphin Watch Cruise during their visit last month.

September and October are two of the most active months of the year for dolphin sightings in Cape May so put this activity on your itinerary during your fall visit.
BYOB Wine Bags
Many of Cape May's award-winning restaurants are BYOB, allowing guests to bring a bottle of their favorite wine to dinner. In order to make sure that you can transport your bottle in style, we now have complimentary wine bags that you can borrow. Handmade in Cherry Hill, NJ by one of our guests, Rene G., they are crafted from beautifully rich fabrics with sturdy handles. If you'd like to purchase one to take home with you, just ask - we have a few extras.
