Summer Days at The Rabbit hOle
|
|
Exhibit design, construction activities, fundraising, new staff, and a summer intensive with students from the Kansas City Art Institute are keeping us busy here at the 'hOle. As the days grow hot and the long shadows of
frolicking rabbits
weave around our parking lot, we look to the horizon at the magic still to come. Construction looms bright, a beacon of possibility and exciting progress for the World's First Explor-a-Storium. Read on for updates and how you can be part of it all!

Home Sweet hOle:
Fun

Foundlings

Close to 80 folks came out to celebrate and support our new design and fabrication studio, aka the RAB FAB. We gained several new Foundling members in the process, toured the future Explor-a-Storium, and toasted another critical milestone in our journey. Check out some highlights below, and see if you can spot an old friend of Harold's...

Tours make the world go 'round...or at least take you 'round the The Rabbit hOle.

A few exciting updates...

This summer, The Rabbit hOle is partnering with the Kansas City Art Institute to lead an eight-week, six-credit summer intensive. Made possible by the Durwood Foundation, this course offers seven students the opportunity to model and design immersive narrative exhibits based on books of their choice. We’re excited to be working with KCAI on this very special partnership.

The Rabbit hOle project has been approved for up to $2 million in 50% state tax credits through the Missouri Development Finance Board Tax Credit for Contribution Program.
What does this mean?
- Individuals, estates, trusts, and corporations (in Missouri, Kansas, or anywhere) are eligible with a contribution of $5,000 or more.
- Make an eligible contribution of cash or securities directly to the Missouri Development Finance Board on behalf of The Rabbit hOle project and receive a certificate for a tax credit valued at 50% of the contribution.
- Donate through December 31, 2019 to take advantage of credits. Credits can be applied to the current tax year, sold, or carried forward for up to five years. (Because these credits can be sold, you needn’t be a Missouri resident to benefit!)
