CMAP OFFERS FREE SMOKING CESSATION COUNSELING
Counseling, medications provided to smokers who want to quit for good
The Rapides Foundation's Healthy Behaviors Initiative includes a focus on the health risks of tobacco use. The initiative includes multiple approaches designed to decrease tobacco use among adults and prevent young people from ever starting. The Foundation's Cenla Medication Access Program has partnered with the Smoking Cessation Trust to offer cessation counseling and medications to eligible smokers.

Foundation CEO serves second term on board of Grantmakers In Health
Joe Rosier, president and CEO of The Rapides Foundation, has been reappointed to a second three-year term on the board of Grantmakers In Health, and has been elected Treasurer of the board for 2016. 
GET HEALTHY CENLA CHALLENGE CALENDAR AVAILABLE
February challenge calendar available for download
Join The Rapides Foundation Get Healthy Cenla Challenge, a daily challenge designed to encourage people to improve their nutrition and physical activity. The goal is for everyone to eat 5 or more servings of fruits and vegetables a day, and to get at least 30 minutes of moderate physical activity a day, 5 days a week.
