Pictured: Mayor Carl Suraci and Committeeman Doug Tomson with Victor DiSanto, Denise Roth and representatives of the HHS Donate Life Club
At the March 28th Township Committee Meeting, the Mayor and Township Committee presented a proclamation recognizing National Donate Life Month and National Blue and Green Day as a great opportunities to join in the fight to save lives by giving the greatest gift.

National Donate Life Month (NDLM) was instituted by Donate Life America and its partnering organizations in 2003. Celebrated in April each year, NDLM features an entire month of local, regional and national activities to help encourage Americans to register as organ, eye and tissue donors and to celebrate those that have saved lives through the gift of donation.

Established in 2012, National Donate Life Blue and Green Day, which will be observed on Friday on April 21, 2017, represents a national effort to support and raise awareness for organ and tissue donation and transplantation.   During this day, the public is encouraged to wear blue and green, hold events and fundraisers, and partner with local restaurants, malls, media, and community organizations in an effort to promote the success of organ, eye and tissue transplantation and the extreme need for registered donors.

The Mayor and the Township Committee urge all residents to join in promoting organ and tissue donor education through the National Donate Life Month observance.
