At the November 22nd Township Committee Meeting, the Mayor and Township Committee presented the Nick Magos Cancer Callout  with a proclamation for all they do for their fellow officers, their families and their dedication to helping their community.

The Nick Magos Cancer Callout, named after Nick Magos, one of the founders of the Somerset County SWAT team, began 6 years ago as a one time fundraiser for a fellow officer in need of financial assistance due to cancer related medical expenses.

The event was so successful, it has become an annual effort and has helped 29 families to date.  In addition to their main fundraising event, "The CALLOUT", which is held each September, the Nick Magos Cancer Callout raises funds throughout the year to support members of law enforcement and their families struggling with cancer and it's related medical expenses.
