Trail Jesters sponsor privateer in Pro Motocross Championship

Copake Lake, N.Y. (May 12, 2014) -Trail Jesters has selected pro motocross racing privateer Jimmy Decotis to back as he participates in the world's fastest outdoor dirt bike racing series, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing, known as the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. This 12-round series runs from May to August, beginning in California and ending in Utah, bringing the best of the best in motocross racing.

"This sponsorship is extremely beneficial for me. I will be able to fly to many rounds so I can train and ride two extra days out of the week, instead of wasting those days driving, which is exactly what I need to give these factory guys a run for their money. The fact that Trail Jesters believes in me so much will give me that much more confidence to perform to my best ability. Having support is the biggest thing in this sport to me and I'm thankful that I have people behind me 100%," said Decotis.

Trail Jesters sponsor New England riders that have strong personal character, and show grit and determination in their sport.

"Jimmy, both as a person and professional rider, is the perfect fit to everything we represent. We learned he was looking for some additional support this outdoor season and we are more than happy to help him pursue his dreams. I will enjoy watching him take on the best 250 riders in the world." said Ross Mauri, Trail Jesters founder.

Being from Massachusetts, his home national used to be Southwick, which is not on the schedule this year. Therefore, Unadilla and Budds Creek will be the two closest home races. He encourages the New England crowd to make their way to those races to cheer him on as the "hometown boy". He said the vibes and excitement from a home race makes the biggest difference in how he finishes and he will definitely put on an exciting race for friends, family, sponsors, and fans.

This will be Decotis' 4th year in the 250 class and his expectations are set high. His goals for the season are to finish in the top 10 in each moto and get on the podium. Aside from racing, he plans on shooting some motocross movies, which he knows his fans want to see. On top of all this, he is starting JDMX Schools, which will be going on weekly in between the national races.

"I want to give back to the racing community that supports me so much. For anyone who is interested in getting some lessons stay in contact with my social media accounts for more details on that," said Decotis.

The 2014 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship begins Saturday, May 24, at Glen Helen in San Bernardino, Calif. Watch Decotis this season on NBC, NBCSN and MAVTV. All 12 rounds will stream live on and the NBC Sports Live Extra App.
