Our Care List:

A candle of healing was lit for our three knee replacement recipients - Kathryn Heath, Eleanor Schweinsberg, and most recently, Carol Youkey. All are on the road to recovery.

A candle of concern was lit for Summer Peters who has been diagnosed with cancer and has started chemo treatments.

A candle of concern was lit for Mona Smith who is in rehab recovering from a dislocated hip and now has Covid as well.

A candle of concern was lit for Diane Scanland who suffered a stroke last week. Brian reports that she is doing well, so a candle of hope and joy, as well.

A candle of concern was lit for Nicole Sharp as she recovers from Covid

A candle of concern was lit for the Lewallen family whom all have Covid

A candle of concern was lit for the Robinson family, who also have family members with Covid.

A candle of concern was lit for Henry Kyemba as he recovers from Covid

A candle of concern was lit for members whose income and livelihood has been affected by Covid

A candle of gratitude was lit for the many members of the Care Committee who have been providing meals to people, buying groceries, sending cards, visiting, checking in by telephone, doing laundry, and house cleaning. We are a truly caring community.

Virtual Service Auction

Donations Needed!

Our second ever Virtual Service Auction opens for bidding on Sunday, February 13, so we need your donations now!

Unlike last year's virtual auction, the current UUCH COVID-19 policy for meeting indoors allows "up to 15 people, unmasked with group consensus," giving you more options to plan a game night, themed dinner parties, or arts & craft event.

Your contribution is only limited by your imagination.

For more information, please email stewardship.committee@uuch.org for committee members Lynda Lamitie, Ed Bernstein, Bryan Walls, or chair Dan McKitrick to ask questions on how to submit your donation(s) at charityauction.bid/uuch. You can also message Dan at (256) 426-6906

Donating by Text or Online

Our e-giving partner, Vanco is migrating to a new mobile app: “Vanco Mobile.” After September 30, giving with the GivePlus+ app will no longer be supported. To continue giving with a mobile app, download the Vanco Mobile app from the Apple App Store or Google Play to your mobile device and follow the instructions here. If you have already set up a login for GivePlus+, it will work on Vanco Mobile.
By Text:
To give a plate offering to UUCH from your mobile device, text the amount (without dollar sign) to 833-559-0257, and follow the instructions. Text giving is by debit or credit card only.
Online:
To give from your bank account, you can still use the UUCH website or the Vanco Mobile app.

Like our other online and mobile giving options, this option is through Vanco, is secure, and has a good option for "plate" donations as well as "pledge" and "AHA".
