Social Justice Service Projects Successful!

On the third Sunday of every month we will be exploring the media content that has been supplied with our monthly Soul Matters packets. You do NOT have to be a member of a Soul Matters group to participate. Come and join us at 9:30 for viewing and discussion in the ARE room of our education wing. The topic for April 16 is Resistance. Don’t resist! Just come. While I am facilitating this, I am looking for another person to assist. Please contact me if you’re willing.

Children and Youth Education News

Younger children (Preschool up to Grade 5)

Continuing this month’s theme of resistance, we will be learning about how to overcome injustices by joining together with others to achieve our goals. We will explore the story of Passover and how enslaved Hebrew united to leave Egypt and the Pharoah behind. Our children will be reminded that we can become unstoppable when we combine our strength with others.

Youth (6th-12th Grades)

This week our youth will be discovering the same themes and concepts as our younger children through discovering the power of collectivism. Our children will end group by practicing cooperativity and team-building with a fun game.

Save the Date

Our Annual Congregational Meeting will be held on June 11. Please put it on your calendar.

Share the Spotlight!

UUCH is a community of Shared Ministry, and we invite YOU to share the spotlight.

Have you ever admired or envied the person who reads announcements and gets the service going on Sundays? Have you ever wondered how EASY it is to do it? Do you want to practice your speaking in front of a loving audience without having to compose anything? Are you craving an opportunity to ring the bowl? Do you want to show off your new haircut?

Being a host for our worship services could be for you! You don’t have to be a member of any committee to try it. You can do it only one time, or you can continue to be part of the rotation. Whatever is right for you. It’s TOTALLY SCRIPTED! No worries, no need to ad lib.

Contact Suzey Delacey at pseuzieq@gmail.com to get access to the spotlight.

Join Adult RE for our next book meetup!

Co-facilitated by Sandy Moore and Suzey Delacey

The selection is the UUA’s common read for 2022- 2023: Mistakes and Miracles:

Congregations on the Road to Multiculturalism
