Healthy Minds: Well-Being for Well-Doing is a North Central MA-wide effort to bring health and real-world skill building opportunity to our students!

On Wednesday, April 14—that’s three days before April vacation!—we are hosting a free virtual field trip
for students in grades 2 through 12. The event is scheduled conveniently on what is an asynchronous learning day for most schools, from 10-2 after morning meetings have concluded and before the school day wraps up. Our hope is that this event will be a nice compliment to a school week where student and teacher energy is flagging before vacation begins.

Registration is opening soon. Stay tuned!

STUDENT ART SHOW IS LIVE!

Take a moment to read through the wonderful artist statements and comment on the art!

What is cooler than students having their works displayed in an art museum?

This art show is part of a body of qualitative research of what young people in North Central MA want from their school experience. We are partnered with Inspire to Change, a St. Paul-based organization specializing in coaching, facilitation, and research, with a particularly unique ability to extract meaningful knowledge from arts-based methods. This art show is a vehicle to help us understand what students of all ages envision for their ideal learning experience.
Please give us your feed back on our draft portrait.

Next Changemaker Camp!

Parent & Teacher Well-Being

COVID has drastically changed what learning looks like and how relationships between school and home are shaped. It has also significantly--and often negatively--affected our individual health.

Join Vipin Thekk and Changemaker friends during this third installment of Changemaker Camps--like our other Camps, this too has three parts with an optional fourth session for feedback and reflection. Created in partnership with the PBS television network and Ashoka, this Changemaker Camp is intended to forge stronger connection between teachers and educators at school (that's you!) and teachers at home--parents.

With the recent changes announced for K-12 school scheduling, the majority of our colleagues are handling yet another period of extreme uncertainty. For this reason we are modifying this third installment of our Changemaker Camp to be just one initial 90 minute session and we are pushing back the start date.

Attendees during the first meeting will have time to discuss with Vipin and Lauren their desired next steps – to schedule another support session right away or wait a bit?

This date is Thursday, April 15 from 4-5:30.
