"Love in the Time of Misinformation"
Nick Wilbourn
10:45 AM
In the last 18 months, many of us have radically changed our daily lives to help combat an unprecedented pandemic. This already difficult time has been made more troubling by a wave of misinformation—online, on TV, and in the minds and mouths of family and friends. This week we investigate how we respond to misinformation through the lens of our UU Sources (which call us to heed the guidance of reason and the results of science) and Principles (which acknowledge both the inherent worth and dignity of every person and the interdependent web of which we are all a part).

Care List
This Sunday at Our Circle of Candles:
Kathy Fisher lit a candle of joy: I am still overjoyed after I visited with my daughter and her family in North Carolina!
Gail and Howard Williams lit a candle of joy: We just returned from a wonderful, fun-filled trip visiting our son, Owen, in California.
George Fletcher (he/him) lit a candle of joy: I had a wonderful trip to Chattanooga last Sunday to visit my son and daughter-in-law for an afternoon of stand-up paddleboarding.
Angela Arnold (she/her) lit a candle of joy: That my sister-in-law has returned home from the hospital after contracting the virus, and hope for her continued recovery.
Jessica Schulz lit a candle of joy: I had a lovely visit with my daughter Lauren and her dog Remi on Friday.
Suzey Delacey (she/her) lit a candle of joy: I am overjoyed that school has started. In-person! LOL
Kathy Fisher lit a candle of sorrow: Extreme sorrow over the loss of one of my son-in-law’s best friends, then the tragic death of the man’s wife the night of his funeral.
Willie R. (He/him/Men Deserve Less) lit a candle of sorrow: Saddened by the tragedy that happened in Haiti.
