Share the Plate with The Community Free Clinic of Huntsville
Sunday, January 3, through Saturday, January 9
|

This will be the first month of three (January-March) for plate-partner The Community Free Clinic of Huntsville (CFC), a public non-profit organization providing quality free healthcare, education, and medications to thousands of people in Madison County without health care benefits. The goals and objectives of the CFC are to improve the quality of life those with few health options through medical treatment and health education. Local physicians donate their time to see patients who have no health insurance and who cannot otherwise afford to be seen by a doctor. The clinic is a volunteer-driven organization. A dispensary is located on site where prescriptions are filled as needed for patients’ treatment. Nominated for STP by the Social Justice Committee. Members and friends of the congregation may nominate future plate partners through the chair of a UUCH committee or directly to Social Justice. Each proposed partner should be a 501(c)(3) community service organization.
Sunday, January 3 through Saturday, January 9, 2021, we will receive STP donations. If writing a check, it helps to add STP on the line item so that we know that you intend to share your plate donation. STP plate donations can be made online this week at our website (under Connecting, Donate, Give Now). Click on “Select Fund” and select "Plate." Or, during this week, click the button below and select "Plate" for the fund.

Religious Education (CYRE)

Join us as we start this new month’s theme of IMAGINATION. Pack your bags! We journey this month in imagining a "New You," a "World without COVID-19," a "Better World (anti-racism)," and "Other Worlds."
VIRTUUAL CYRE meets at 9:45 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Children, youth, and families are all invited!
YOUUTH GROUP (grades 7-12) meets at 4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Zoom links will be shared via email and our CYRE Family Facebook group.

Little Food Pantry
The LFP is currently heavily used. Please continue to sign up for M, W, F, & Sunday slots. If the slots are filled, you can still drop food off on T, Th, & Saturday. All manners of canned, boxed, and fresh veggies (weather permitting) are great choices. Why folks don’t like dried beans is a mystery. Let’s continue to feed the hungry! A BIG thank you!

Like our other online and mobile giving options, this option is through Vanco, is secure, and has a good option for "plate" donations.
